As for many, the beach is an emotional escape for me. It's where I go when I'm happy as well as when I'm sad. I have no interest in painting a real life representation of how it looks and only wish to suggest how it makes me feel. I am mesmerised by the undulating waves and cherish the freedom of floating in large expanses of deep water.​
