Based in Midhurst, West Sussex, I am a visual artist whose practice bridges fine art and illustration. Early in my career, I honed my skills in drawing and illustration, but for the past two decades I have embraced the freedom of paint as my primary medium. While I resist strict categorisation, I am best known for my seascapes and figurative works — pieces that invite both stillness and emotion into the spaces they inhabit.
My paintings are held in private collections and are commissioned for commercial interiors. I am represented by the prestigious Kendalls Fine Art Gallery in Cowes, Isle of Wight — a renowned destination for collectors and ocean lovers alike. Selected pieces hang in the famous clubhouse of the Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC) in Cowes, and I regularly exhibit locally at the Oxmarket Gallery in Chichester. As a yoga lover, I am delighted that LANO Yoga Centres in Chichester and Southsea permanently display and sell my work. Alongside my painting, I continue to explore the playful side of illustration. I design and publish my own range of greetings cards (formerly Tattyhead Design), stocked by retailers across the UK, and I have also written and illustrated Nell’s Big Heart — a children’s book that celebrates kindness, available worldwide through Amazon. My journey began early — my first publicly exhibited piece was shown at the National Gallery, London when I was just 15 years old — and that sense of wonder and possibility continues to shape my practice today. |
