Jodi Whitby is an artist from Midhurst, West Sussex. Early in her career, she concentrated her abilities on drawing and illustration, but for the last twenty years has used paint to achieve a freer form of expression. Although not categorising herself in any one particular avenue, she is best known for her seascapes and figurative work.
Her paintings sell internationally and she is represented by the prestigious Kendall's Fine Art Gallery in Cowes, Isle of Wight - a popular port of call for art loving ocean goers.
Jodi also designs and publishes her own range of greetings cards (formerly Tattyhead Design) which are sold in many UK retailers. Cards are mostly humorous but include some images from her fine art collections.
A lovely book to buy your children and grandchildren is Nell's Big Heart. A delightful rhyming story about how the world is changed through the kindness of a little girl and the friends she meets on her journey. Written and illustrated by Jodi, it is available through Amazon in both softback and Kindle versions.
As a yoga lover, Jodi is delighted that LANO Yoga Centres in Chichester and Southsea, permanently display and sell her work.
Her first publicly exhibited piece of work was in The National Gallery, London at just 15 years old.
