the un-polluting of our seas

Inspired by how crystal clear and less polluted our oceans had become as a direct result of the global Covid Lockdown of 2020. As a keen beach goer and outdoor swimmer, I was desperate to get my body back in the water and when that day came I couldn't get over the clarity of the water! Despite the virus causing havoc and tragedy around the world, this was one great positive - our clean, clearer seas. Just shows what really is possible!

A light hearted poke at how much social media dominates the world. I painted this the day I realised that I had wasted too many hours browsing through negative, destructive and irrelevant claptrap on social media. I was sickened by much of what I saw and cross with myself for being 'sucked-in'. As Winston Churchill once said: "A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on."
